At the end of the training, students should
1. Acquire sound knowledge of the basic principles of medical science and the skills needed for the practical application in the field of promotive, preventive and curative medicine and research
2. Be conversant with the knowledge, skills and attitude which form the foundation of solving the country’s health problems
3. Have a thorough knowledge of the health projects implemented according to the needs of the country
4. Understand and implement skillfully the promotive, preventive, curative, and rehabilitative health measures and management procedures required of a basic doctor
5. Be able to apply knowledge concerning Community Medicine as required at the primary health care level
6. Be able to take the role of a teacher in Community Health Education and to give a leadership role in planning and implementing health programs for the patient, their families and the community
7. Enhance self-improvement by pursuing Continuing Educational activities
8. Be able to apply systematically modern scientific methods in the study and analysis of health problems
9. Appreciate and accept the medical ethics required of every doctor and conduct accordingly.
